  • Variation of Adhesive Strength in Single Lap Joint (SLJ) with Surface Irregularities Ankit R. Sharma, Aditya V. Natu, Tushar Ramteke, Nitinkumar Anekar

Single Lap Joints are used extensively in the aerospace industry due to their lower weight and absence of stress concentration due to drilling of holes. However, their lesser strength remains an important limitation. Different modes of failures have been reviewed here. The bond strength of a Single Lap Joint can be varied by varying its overlap length, however, the strength does not strictly increase.

  • Reciprocating motion by Electromagnetic and Spring forces with its Analysis, Graphical representation and Electronic circuits Ankit R. Sharma, Aditya V. Natu

An electromagnet can be set into oscillatory motion by using electromagnets powered by Alternating Current of low frequency, which then slides on a frame and can be used to rotate a crank. The Alternating current makes the electro-magnets switch poles — both the oscillating poles being out of phase - causing the oscillations. An oscillator is used to generate the Alternating current of desired frequency.

Almost 70% of earth is covered by water but only 0.75% freshwater is available for domestic, agriculture and industrial purpose. With rapid growth of industries, population, agriculture production etc., demand for the pure or fresh water is increasing rapidly. This increasing demand of fresh water can effectively tackled by purification of available water. Solar desalination is an eco-friendly and economical.

Metal foam heat exchangers are a type of compact heat exchanger having large surface-area-to- volume ratio, tortuous flow path, and relatively high thermal conductivity. They are being considered for a wide range of heat transfer applications. Metal foam is a cellular structure consisting of a solid metal with gas-filled pores comprising a large portion of the volume. The pores can be sealed (closed-cell foam).
